We\u2019re a national charity that provides free community yoga in nature on Sunday mornings from May to September to improve the health and wellbeing of our yogis. Everyone\u2019s welcome to attend \u2013 regardless of age, background or ability.<\/p>
\"Park Yoga aims to improve physical and mental wellbeing by introducing the transformative benefits of yoga in nature, fostering joy, connection and a deep sense of community<\/em>.\"<\/em><\/p> After experiencing free outdoor community yoga in Pittsburgh, America, one of our founding Trustees (Alice King), alongside her mum (Sibyl King), made it their mission to bring the positive health and wellbeing benefits of outdoor yoga to the UK. Starting in Dorset (which is where Park Yoga HQ is) we set up the first Park Yoga sessions in the summer of 2017 in Bournemouth and Weymouth. After persuading the local councils to let us use their spaces for free and extensively promoting the sessions locally, we were very nervous about our first sessions, fearful that no-one would come, so we were ecstatic when both venues proved to be a massive hit that summer!<\/p> From our origins in sunny Dorset, the word spread about just how amazing Park Yoga is and more and more venues started across the Southwest of England. In 2023 our first venue in Northwest England started, then in 2024 we worked with Active Black Country to start five locations across the West Midlands. In 2026 we launched our first venue in Scotland, so can now say we're a charity based across the UK. <\/p> We have now grown to have over 70 venues across the UK, and over the next three years plan to expand further afield.
